International Media
The International Media division bridges
the gulf of misunderstanding that exists between the United
States and the rest of the world by presenting facts, information
and a diversity of voices and opinions. Johnson’s Russia List
continues to serve as the premier source of English-language
news about the countries of the former Soviet Union. The institute’s
foreign language information services - Washington Observer
(Chinese), Washington Prism (Farsi), Washington ProFile (Russian),
and Taqrir Washington (Arabic) – bridge social and cultural
gaps and educate audiences across the globe about policy choices
within the United States.
It has been the mission of Johnson's Russia
List (JRL) since 1996 to provide timely, comprehensive, diverse,
and reliable information about the vast and complex subject,
Russia. JRL currently goes to more than 6,500 Russia-watchers
around the world and is widely used by journalists, government
officials, business people, NGO organizations, researchers,
academics and students.
