Lilit Petrosyan is the director of the
WSI Caucasus Project
. Since the project’s inception in 2005, she was in charge of the conceptual and organizational
establishment and administration of the project. In addition to her work with South
Caucasus-related issues, Petrosyan is also an editor at
Washington Profile information agency
, where, aside from her daily editorial duties, she is responsible for project
management and promotion.
Before joining the World Security Institute (then CDI) in summer 2003,
Petrosyan graduated Seton Hall University with a master of arts in diplomacy and international
relations. She also has a prior graduate degree from the Yerevan State University in Armenia,
where she studied the politics and linguistics of the Middle East. Petrosyan is fluent in
Armenian, Russian and English, and has a working knowledge of French, Arabic and Turkish.
